Forthcoming events at After School Club

Monday 7th March   Baking Night.  We’ll be doing some baking activities this afternoon with some tasty treats to take home.

Wednesday 16th March – Park & Picnic.  Now that we’re getting some lighter evenings at last we’ll be venturing out for a bit longer and atking a picnic with us.

Thursday 24th March – Making Mother’s Day Cards & Gifts.  Great craft activities for all.

Tuesday 29th March – Making Easter Eggs & Cards.  Eggs to take home as long as they’re not eaten first!

Monday 4th April – Wii Bowling tournament.  Join in the fun!

Limited spaces are still available for all of these themed After School Sessions, so please book early for your child to take part.

Introducing our New Member of the Team at After School Club

Emma Cassidy is a Level 3 Childcare Practitioner, and has been working with the team at Nursery since last February.  She is now also taking up a regular post at the After School Club.  You will see Emma each Monday afternoon.  Emma also has her paediatric first aid qualification and food safety certificate, as well as much previous experience of working with children at our Nursery and also her previous childcare setting.  She is very much enjoying the role, and working with this age group, extending her skills and experience, and bringing new ideas to the After School Club.

Lots of New Changes

We constantly want to improve on what we offer the children in terms of activities and equipment, and keep them interested and entertained whatever the weather, especially as it’s been a long hard winter.  We’ve recently invested in a new table football game, and are also looking at new games to purchase for both indoors and outdoors, but the best ideas always come from the children.  We’ve also changed our offering for afternoon snacks and have found soup and the healthy pocket pittas have been really popular, as well as the usual fruit and vegetables.  We welcome your suggestions on making our continual imporvements to what we offer and the service we provide.

How to Register and Book Your Place

You can pick up a registration pack from school, either from the office, or from the Club at any of our sessions before or after school each day, or by telephoning the Club on 07721 062404 (there is a voicemail out of hours)  You can also call us at Nursery on 01904 728700 and we will get a pack to you.  To book your place on any Before or After School Club session, please phone the Club direct.  Our opening hours are 7.30am until 9.00am for Breakfast Club, and 3.15pm to 6.15pm for After School Club.
